We also see so many dogs and families that come in for training after all of the “mistakes” have been made. If the families just had all of the information this program offered from the jump start they would have avoided all of the problem behaviors as a result!
This program is for those pet parents that want to get it right but maybe do not have the skill set, knowledge or time to put the training in motion. We offer some of the most extensive coaching to help you and your new puppy live the best life, together!
Our ELITE Puppy Training Program offers two options and different levels of support to help make it the right fit for any family.
Three Month Training
We waste no time and start right as you are picking up your new puppy!
We meet within the first two weeks you have picked up your puppy (8 – 10 weeks of age) and give you some valuable one-on-one coaching to help make the transition seamless. After that, we take the lead and put in the time with your puppy with all of our EXPERT knowledge and skill. Your puppy would stay with us Monday – Friday where we work on:
- Crate Training
- Potty Training
- Confidence building
- Socialization (the RIGHT way)
- Environmental Awareness
- Obedience skills
- Routine
- Food Training/Engagement
- Weekly Field Trips
- …and SO much MORE
Every Friday one of our trainers meets with your family for a one on one lesson to teach you all of the skills your puppy has learned that week. The BEST part of this program is that you play a part in the development of your puppy and receive just as much coaching as they do. The training we do with your puppy is important, but it is even more important to make YOU part of that process. You learn how to keep, continue and maintain all of the training we put in place. The knowledge we offer you is invaluable because you can take that and apply it to any other dog.
After our Friday coaching session, your puppy would go home for the weekend so that you can put all of your coaching to practice. The homework you receive will give you practical knowledge in easy to practice tasks. This also allows your puppy to bond with you and acclimate to family life. Then, they would return to us the following Monday to immerse themselves back into the FUN of training! You get to enjoy the puppy phase without all of the headaches!
After three months you can expect your puppy to:
- Handle new environments with confidence
- Be well socialized with people and dogs
- Have basic obedience skills
- Have knowledge of commands
- Crate Trained
- Potty Training Routine
- Leash Basics
- Have environmentally neutral behavior out in public
- Think you are the COOLEST human in their world!
Four Month Training
Our four month training program takes everything from the three month program and tops it with some extra time AFTER the puppy phase is over!
For the FOURTH month of training we welcome your dog back when they are between 8 – 10 months of age when the puppy phase is coming to an end. This is when some possible issues can arise because dogs are entering their second developmental fear stage. This is also where the magic happens because we begin to really work on their “adult” obedience.
These are just a few of the things you can expect to be achieved during this time in training.
- Proper Leash Skills (in public places)
- Heeling past distractions
- Off Leash Training (come when called)
- Commands around ANY distraction
- Place command for a minimum of 1 hour
The BEST part is that the foundation has been laid, you have gained the knowledge and skills to maintain the training during the puppy phase through expert coaching. This extra period of time allows us to put the finishing touches on your puppy to take them into adulthood. At this age they are developmentally mature enough to handle training for off leash reliability!
During this month of training we continue to keep you in the loop and part of the training process as it is happening. You will still receive a one on one training session each Friday and your dog will return home with you to practice for the weekend. These coaching sessions are key in that you are PART of the process and learning as your dog does. This makes you more knowledgeable and able to understand the training techniques (versus other programs where you have one lesson at the very end and need to take in all of the information in one sitting).
No matter which program you choose to be the right fit for you and your new puppy, we offer a series of follow up lessons to help you maintain your (and your puppy’s) success! These follow up lessons take place weekly for the first month and then monthly for another three months after that. These one on one lessons help you continue on the path to living a successful life, together with your puppy!
Remember, we aren’t raising puppies, we are raising DOGS!
